AGAIN!—It hasn’t been a good couple of weeks for Thorndale and heavy trucks. On Aug. 13 a tanker overturned and closed US 79 for over five hours.

This year is flying by. Gonna be time to put up the Christmas tree and decorations before we know it. If we have any at our house, hopefully grandchildren will come around and do it. Surely as many as we have, someone will get that task taken care of.

EIGHT NEW CASES TUESDAY

From County Judge Steve Young Tuesday night: Tuesday we had eight new confirmed cases of the virus to report in Milam County.  Two individuals were admitted to  hospitals and one person was discharged, for a total of nine persons in a hospital.

ONE NEW CASE MONDAY

From County Judge Steve Young Monday night We have one new confirmed case of the virus to report in Milam County.  Fourteen individuals were discharged.  One person was admitted to a  hospital.  Tuesday we are testing in Thorndale at the Firemen’s Hall from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

RHS TESTS POSITIVE

Milam County Judge Steve Young confirmed to The Reporter Monday morning that a Rockdale High School student tested positive for COVID-19 Friday. Young said the district notified parents about the situation.

FOUR NEW COVID CASES FRIDAY

From County Judge Steve Young Friday evening: Friday we had four new cases and one discharged case to report.  We tested twelve individuals in Buckholts and two were positive.  The tests we used were the 15 minute swab antigen tests and thus the positive results are included in our probable cases.

TWO NEW COVID CASES ON THURSDAY

From Milam County Judge Steve Young Thursday night: Thursday we had two new confirmed cases of the virus to report in Milam County.  Six individuals were discharged from the active case list.  A Milam County adolescent has been diagnosed with Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children.
