Trail Life USA local TX-1516 holds open house

Milam County’s first Trail Life USA troop will hold an open house at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31. Trail Life USA is a Christian-centered outdoor group for boys of all ages. For more information contact Troopmaster Patrick Whalen at 512-430-2122.

FIVE NEW CASES TUESDAY

From County Judge Steve Young Tuesday night: Today we have five new confirmed cases of the virus to report in Milam County.  Nine individuals were discharged and one was released from the hospital.     Milam County: 1.            Confirmed cases 396 up 5 2.            Active cases 36 down 4 3.

17 NEW COVID-19 CASES

  Today we have 17 confirmed cases to report, including 12 positive cases from the Thorndale testing done Thursday.  We also have 1 additional person admitted to a local hospital.

12 POSITIVE CASES FROM THORNDALE TESTING

  County Judge Steve Young said Monday afternoon 12 positive tests were recorded from COVID-19 testing performed by the state Thursday in Thorndale.   No breakdown yet on how many were Milam County residents but Young said he would update the Milam numbers later in the day Monday.

NO COVID REPORT OVER WEEKEND FROM STATE

  Milam County Judge Steve Young said Monday morning he did not receive a COVID-19 case report from the state detailing weekend (Saturday and Sunday) numbers.

EIGHT NEW CASES FRIDAY

From County Judge Steve Young Friday night: Today we have eight new confirmed cases to report, but two were released from the hospital.     Milam County: Confirmed cases 374 up 8 Active cases 29 up 6 Probable cases 16 up 1 Monitored 89 up 10 Hospitalized 3 down 2 Deaths 3 no change

NINE CASES; NINE DISCHARGED

From County Judge Steve Young Thursday evening: Today we had nine new confirmed cases, but nine were discharged.  Thus, our net active cases remain the same at 23.  Two individuals were admitted to a hospital and one was discharged for a net increase of one.

ONLY TWO NEW COVID CASES

From County Judge Steve Young:  I am happy to report we only have two new confirmed cases in Milam County.  The bad news is that we already have the virus in some school and sporting activities.  Milano ISD has postponed volleyball and cross country for the next two weeks due to infections.
