Young welders to host meet

Rockdale High School’s welding team will host a competition Thursday and they will do it wearing jackets contributed by a couple of local businesses. Rockdale Welding Supply and Perry & Perry Builders sponsored the jackets, modeled by the young welders above. Beginning at 8 a.m.

Milano Senior Citizens Fundraiser Saturday The annual fundraiser sponsored by the Milano Senior Citizens will be held on Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. at the Milano Civic Center. Kimberlee Leber, a Texas Gospel Blues singer/songwriter, will be performing.

Wanda and Al Coats and family celebrated the wedding of great-grandson and wife, Tera and Hayden Rasco, Saturday evening at Arledge Ranch, north of Gause. A reception followed at Beaver Creek Ranch. Then Sunday the family gathered with Wanda and Al for Pierce Ward’s 9th birthday.

LORD’S ACRE FUNDRAISER

Sunday was a special day as St. John’s United Methodist Church held its annual Lord’s Acre event, a major fund-raiser for the congregation that benefits the church and its activities.

4-H’ers advance from county food show to district

COMMENTS FROM MICAH Milam County 4-H members competed at the County Food Show and Food Challenge 2019, at Bea’s Kitchen in Cameron. Fourteen 4-H members competed, and all will advance to district on Dec. 11 in Belton.
