Robyn Black, a devoted Christian, strong-willed individual, dedicated publ ic ser vant and proud veteran, pas sed away on May 14, 2025.
He r l i fe was defined by faith, service and an unwavering commitment to others.
Robyn served her country honorably as a member of the U.S. Navy, demonstrating strength, discipline and devotion to duty.
After her military career, she continued her legacy of service within the Travis County Sheriff’s Department, where her integrity and dedication earned her the respect of colleagues and the community alike.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Robyn was a woman of deep faith, guided by her Catholic beliefs. She lived with compassion and a steadfast spirit, embodying the values she held dear in every aspect of her life. Her strong will and determination were evident in everything she pursued, inspiring those around her to stand firm in their own convictions.
When she took on a project, she gave it her full attention and unwavering dedication, ensuring every task was completed with care and precision.
Robyn was deeply involved in her church, sharing her faith through teaching and direct support of Marian Cenacle, Daughters of Mary, CCD, Divine Apostles, Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults and other activities that enriched the spiritual lives of those around her.
She found joy in serving others through volunteer work, always seeking ways to uplift her community.
Her passion for horticulture was evident in her dedication to the Linwood Acres Garden Club, where she cultivated beauty and fostered connections with fellow enthusiasts.
She i s sur v i ved by her loving mother, Wilma Hauck; stepfather Raymond Hauck; father Allen Black; brother Lance Black and his wife, Patricia Black; sister Janelle Hauck; niece and nephew, Chelsea Black and Brent Black; and uncle Rev Dan Knepper.
Her family will continue to honor her legacy, cherishing the wonderful memories they created together.
A holy mass and rosary honoring her life and service was held at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rockdale on June 11.
In remembrance, her family asks that those who knew her celebrate her life by carrying forward her values of kindness, dedication, and faith.
May she rest in eternal peace.
