Funeral services for Lynda Gale Moody, 73, of Minerva and Lexington were held Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, at Forest Grove Christian Church with Pastor Lance Walch officiating. Burial followed at Sanders Cemetery near Blue. Mrs. Moody died Friday, Feb. 24, at her home in Lexington.

Melba Ann Owens, 62, of Rockdale died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023, in Cameron. No services are planned at this time. Mrs. Owens was born on July 1, 1960, to John Phillips and Beatrice Lucille (Ingle) Hunt in Breckenridge, where she also went to school. She married Andy Owens on Nov. 8, 1996.

Carol L. Newman, 71, of Milano died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, in Bryan. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with a gathering following the service at Milano Civic Center. Mrs. Newman was born Oct. 10, 1951, to Robert B.

Carole Edith Simank

On Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023, Carole Edith Simank, loving sister, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 83. Carole, lovingly known as “MamaCo” or “CoCo” was born on Oct. 26, 1939, in Temple to parents Ike and Frances (Stephens) Camp.
