ANGLETON—Richard Kenneth Clinton Sr., 80, of Danbury went to his Lord and Savior, March 25, 2021, at Angleton-Danbury Hospital due to pneumonia. He was born May 13, 1940, at Plum Creek, north of Luling, to Bernard and Annie Clinton.

Kortis

Alfred George Kortis Jr. died Thursday, March 25, 2021, in Bryan. Services were held Monday, March 29, at Rest Ever Memorial Park in Bryan. He was born in Caldwell on July 31, 1937. Mr. Kortis graduated from C.H. Yoe High School in Cameron.

Tuma

Jimmie Richard “Dick” Tuma, 82, passed unexpectedly March 1, 2021, at his home in Gonzales. Born Dec. 22, 1938, to James Martin “Dick” Tuma and Nina Beatrice (Edelmon) Tuma, he spent his childhood until the age of 19 in Rockdale.

Funeral services for T.A. Beard, 95, of Thorndale are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Mark Porterfield of Pleasant Retreat United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Retreat Cemetery near Thorndale.

SAN MARCOS—Robert Lee Bounds Jr., 79, died Friday, March 5, 2021, surrounded by family. He was born April 4, 1941, in Rockdale to Robert Lee Bounds Sr. and Ruby Armstrong Bounds Haldas. Mr. Bounds worked as a barber while in school, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, father and uncles.

Donald A. Gooding, 74, died of COPD cancer at his home on Saturday, March 13, 2021. He passed away peacefully with his husband at his side. Mr. Gooding was born June 19, 1946, in Durand, Minnesota. He was a retired teacher from Copperas Cove High School and worked for the Texas Secretary of State.
