Gloria Carolyn Kocian, 77, of Rockdale died Saturday, June 5, 2021, surrounded by her family.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 10, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, and rosary will follow from 7 to 8 p.m. at Phillips & Lucke y F u n e r a l Home.

M r s . Kocian was born in Hearne to Samuel and Edna Barnett.

She was a dedicated mother to her three children.

She loved to sew and do arts and crafts. In her later years she loved taking care of her grandkids and watching them grow.

Mrs. Kocian was always up do to something exciting, whether it be a vacation someplace fun or just a simple day out with her daughter for a manicure and pedicure.

She spent many hours on her cellphone. She loved to check in several times daily with friends and family to make sure everyone was doing okay.

Mrs. Kocian was a big fan of Alan Jackson singing gospel songs as he would appear on Saturday nights on the RFD-TV channel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years, Jerome, in 2019; and a grandson, Lee Gonzales in 2007.

Survivors are her sons, Ronald and Randy, and a daughter, Angela Kocian, all of Rockdale; a granddaughter, Kandace of Midland; and grandson, Christian of Holland.
