“Oh, what a night” is what they sang back in the day and it’s what Tiger Nation was singing as Rockdale swept Malakoff in two games Friday night.
The Tigers traveled back to Madisonville to play on the artificial turf against Malakoff and everyone thought this team might be a challenge.
The Thorndale Bulldogs claimed an area championship last week by defeating Burton in two games. Both were shutouts with Thorndale winning game one 4-0 and game two 2-0.
Players of the game in the first game were Jayden Clawson, Jaxson Eschberger and Kaden Kovar.
The Thorndale Lady Dogs advance to the regional semifinals after defeating rival Thrall in two games last week in Hutto. Thorndale beat the Lady Tigers on Wednesday 5-4 and again on Thursday 5-1.
