ROCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL TRACK

Rockdale Tiger Jesus Bocanegra competed last week in the regional track meet held at Waco’s Midway High School but failed to finish high enough to move on to state. He qualifi ed in both the 1600M and the 3200M. Lady Tiger T’Niyah Miles competed in the shot put at the same meet and finished ninth.

THORNDALE HIGH SCHOOL TRACK

The Thorndale Bulldogs and Lady Dogs had a great week last week in Kingsville at the regional track meet. The Bulldogs finished second overall as a team. Legon, seventh in pole vaulting.

Bulldogs individual event results were: Carson McCoy, first in the 100M, the 200M and a member of the first place 4x100 relay team; Everton White, third in the 100M and a member of the first place 4x100 relay team; Jayden Clawson, seventh in the triple jump and a member of the first place 4x100...

Lady Dogs

Lady Dogs individual event results were: Bethany Preusse, first in discus, third in shot put; Skielee Bear, sixth in the 3200M; Riley Shock, seventh in the discus; Raven Sandoval, fifth in the 3200M, eighth in the 800M, sixth in the 1600M.

MILANO HIGH SCHOOL TRACK

REGIONAL TRACK— The Milano Eagles and Lady Eagles participated in the regional track meet in Kingsville last week. Participants included Kadance Koenig, Wyatt Koenig, Melanee Mocchia and Robert Miller.

REGIONAL TOURNEY— The Thorndale Bulldog golf team (at left) and Lady Dogs golf team (at right) finished their seasons at the regional golf tournament in Corpus Christi last week.

MILANO SOFTBALL

The Lady Eagles finished regular season play last week by beating Holland on the road, winning 11-4. Milano finished second in district with a record of 11-5. The Lady Eagles will move on to postseason play this week in Belton to play Goldthwaite on Friday and Saturday.

REGIONAL GOLF— Milano Eagle golfer Daniel Frei competed at the regional golf tournament in Corpus Christi last week.

THORNDALE HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL/SOFTBALL

The Thorndale Lady Dogs finished their regular season last week with a win over Rosebud-Lott. The victory included Karis Ginn hitting a home run. COMING UP— Thorndale finished 15-1 and will face Mason in postseason play starting Friday with games at 5 and 7 p.m. at Lago Vista High School.

SPORTS BRIEFS

On March 23, a team made up of Mike Nader, Kyle Brewer, Nobel Little and Monte Taylor (right, top) took home the first-place prize of $500 at the 33rd annual Noon Lions Scholarship Golf Tournament held at Rockdale Country Club.
