THORNDALE POWERLIFTING

STATE POWERLIFTERS— Thorndale Bulldog Kaleb Yount (R) is your new state powerlifting champion. He squatted 670 pounds, set a state record of benching 535 pounds and had a deadlift of 585 pounds, for a total of 1,790. Deven Cuba (L) placed fifth at the state powerlifting meet.

POST-SEASON HONORS— Congratulations to Thorndale Bulldog Kaden Kovar (L) who was recently selected to the First Team All-Austin Metro Team and to the TABC All-State Team.

THORNDALE HIGH SCHOOL TRACK

Thorndale recently hosted the 2024 Thorndale Bulldog Relays. Senior Bulldog Carson McCoy continued his roll in the 100M dash with another first-place finish. He posted a time of 10.77. Everton White finished second with a time of 11.00. In the 200M da sh McCoy also came in first with a time of 22.

MILANO HIGH SCHOOL TRACK

The Milano track teams traveled recently to Thorndale to compete in the 2024 Thorndale Bulldog Relays. In the 200M dash Eagle Patrick Sauceda finished fourth with a 24.63 time and Gabe Sanders placed fifth with a 25.40. Sauceda also finished fourth in the 400M dash with a 54.49 time.

RHS BASEBALL/SOFTBALL

The Rockdale Tiger baseball team was undefeated last week, winning both of their games against the neighboring Lexington Eagles. The Tigers traveled to Lexington early last week and won 7-2 before hosting the Eagles on Saturday and winning 4-3. The Tigers are now 3-1 in district play.

ROCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER

The Rockdale Tigers soccer team hosted a warm-up game against Burnet last week and they came out on top, 3-1. The Tigers continue to show they can compete at a high level.

THORNDALE HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL/SOFTBALL

The Thorndale Bulldogs had decisive wins against both Granger and Rosebud- Lott last week. They beat Granger 16-0 and defeated Rosebud-Lott 3-1. COMING UP— The Bulldogs will be back in action this week against Holland on Tuesday in Holland.

THORNDALE GOLF

ON TO REGIONAL— The Thorndale golf teams placed second at their district tournament on March 25.

MILANO SOFTBALL

Milano Lady Eagles had a great week winning two out of three games. They enjoyed wins over Holland, 14-4, and Granger, 10-0, before suffering a loss in extra innings against Rosebud- Lott, 3-2.

ROCKDALE SOCCER

Rockdale Tiger soccer is going next level on Tuesday when they travel to Lorena to play the Leopards in a bi-district playoff game. Game time is 6 p.m. This week you can catch the Tigers in action at Tiger Stadium when they play a warm-up game against Burnet at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
