MILANO HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL

The Milano Eagles went 1-2 last week on the baseball diamond. Milano took on Chilton and won 14-6, before losing to Bosqueville 11-2 and Thorndale 13-3. COMING UP— The Eagles now have games against Granger and Rosebud Lott scheduled for this week.

ROCKDALE TRACK

The Rockdale Tiger and Lady Tiger track teams will be in action this week at the Caldwell Track Meet on Thursday.

SPORTS BRIEFS

Softball fundraiser set for Saturday Rockdale Girls’ Softball Association will hold a fundraiser on Saturday, at The Ranch from 7 p.m. to midnight. There wi l l be a $10 donation at the door. To raise money for its fields and facilities, there will be a drawing and both live and silent auctions.

The Lady Tigers had a rough spring break, losing both of their games to the Little River-Academy Lady Bumblebees. They lost one at home game and one on the road, 15-0 and 16-1.

THORNDALE POWERLIFTING

STATE CHAMP— Congratulations to Thorndale’s Lady Dog Powerlifting State Champion Jordyn Stutts. Stutts set a state record with a squat of 405, she benched 220 and had a deadlift of 310. Her total weight was 935. Way to go Jordyn! Thorndale ISD Athletics photo

THORNDALE HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL/SOFTBALL

The Thorndale Bulldogs baseball team had two games last week. They played rival Thrall and suffered a loss, 5-0. They then bounced back from the loss and had a decisive victory against Milano. The Bulldogs scored in every inning and won 13-3.

ROCKDALE POWERLIFTING

STATE MEET— Rockdale Lady Tiger powerlifter Perry competed in the State Powerlifting Championships in Frisco last week. She finished 10th with a squat of 310 pounds, a bench press of 180, a deadlift of 285, for a total of 775 pounds. Way to go Elizabeth! Rockdale Tigers Athletics photo

ALL REGION— Thorndale Bulldog Kaden Kovar was named to the TABC Class 2A IV All-Region Team.

ALL REGION— Congratulations to Rockdale Lady Tiger basketball player Ciara Miles who was recently named to the TABC All-Region Team for Class 3A.

MILANO BASKETBALL

Milano Eagle Basketball players Ty Magee, Dylan Magee, Daniel Frei and Gerald Dykes were named to the All-District Academic team recently. Eagle Jackson Reyes was named Second Team All District. Congratulations to these student athletes for their accomplishment both on and off the court.
