Hey Tiger Nation, let me share a secret. You can’t spend a better evening than out at the high school baseball field watching Tiger baseball. The weather is great, the burgers are cooked and ready for you and your family.

ROCKDALE GOLF

The Rockdale Tiger golf team made a trip to the Cameron Country Club last Monday and Tiger Mason Lillard came home with a third-place individual award after shooting a 79. Tiger Zeb Skrhak had a season best score of 86 and Luke Olivares had his best of the season after posting a round of 93.

THORNDALE GOLF

THIRD— Thorndale boys golf (above) and girls golf (at right) took third place in last week’s Cameron Tourney at the Cameron Country Club.

THORNDALE POWERLIFTING

STATE BOUND— The Thorndale powerlifting team recently competed in the regional finals with Deven Cuba and Kaleb Young qualifying for state, both finished in first place in their weight class. Pictured (L-R) are Coach Barker, Cuba, Yount and Coach Clay.

Lady Tigers

The Rockdale Lady Tiger soccer program split games in their last week of play. LAGRANGE— In a game at home against LaGrange they won in penalty kicks after the game was tied 2-2 at the end of regulation time. After 11 penalty kicks Big Blue prevailed.

Tigers

The Rockdale Tigers finished .500 last week, one win and one loss. L AGR ANGE— Ea r ly in the week they hosted LaGrange and won 1-0. The goal was made by Jose Orellana with an assist by Wilmer Sorto. With the victory the Tigers secured a spot in the playoffs.

ROCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL TRACK

The Rockdale Tiger and Lady Tiger track teams competed in the Elgin Track Meet last week. On the boys varsity team, Tiger De’Andre Stephens placed second in the high jump with a 6’ jump and he placed third in the triple jump. Wyatt Smith came in sixth in pole vaulting with a 10’ vault.

MILANO HIGH SCHOOL TRACK

The Milano track teams ran in the Rosebud-Lott Track Meet on Wednesday, March 6.

THORNDALE HIGH SCHOOL TRACK

The Thorndale Bulldog Track Teams traveled to Holland last week to compete in the Holland Rosa Relays. Lady Dog Raven Sandoval placed first in the 1600M with a time of 6:10.24, and Skielee Bear came in second with a time of 6:10.84. Raven Sandoval was first in the 3200M with a time of 13:45.

ROCKDALE TENNIS

DOUBLES— Rockdale JV boys tennis doubles team (top photo) of Sebestian Lepe and Cohen Razo placed first last week in the Caldwell Tournament. Bottom photo, the JV mixed doubles team, consisting of Shawn Gerren and Aubrey Zientek, took home third place in the Caldwell Tourney.
