Congratulations to the following Thorndale Bulldogs basketball players for their All-District honors: Kaden Kovar, named Co -MV P; Newc omer Award, Kale Meadors; First Team All-District, Braden Pickel and Jayden Clawson; honorable mentions, Gunner Ferguson and Case McDaniel.

Granger GOOD. Water lightly stained; 60 degrees; 0.33 feet above pool. Black bass are good on red shad PowerPoint Worms and black jigs. Crappie are good on slip bobber rigs fished in the backs of coves and sloughs all over the lake.

THORNDALE BASEBALL

FAST START— The Thorndale Bulldog baseball team is off to a hot start. They began district play last week against Bartlett, winning 4-1.

SPORTS BRIEFS

Softball fundraiser set for March 23rd Rockdale Girls’ Softball Association will hold a fundraiser on Saturday, March 23, at The Ranch from 7 p.m. to midnight. There will b e a $ 10 donation at the door.

MILANO BASEBALL/SOFTBALL

The Milano Eagle baseball team recently competed in the Somerville Tournament and had two solid victories. The Eagles beat Snook 16-1 and they won against Somerville 9-1. The Milano Lady Eagle softball team played two games last week and came away with two wins.

ROCKDALE BASEBALL/SOFTBALL

The Rockdale Tiger baseball team went to West to play in their tournament last week and left 2-2. They played Kerens twice and split games. They won 4-0 and they lost 1-0. In the 4-0 victory, Tiger pitcher Austin Caldwell gave up only two hits.

ROCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL/SOFTBALL

Rockdale’s Big Blue baseball went to LaGrange last week and got another win against the Leopards by a final score of 9-6. The Tigers then played in the Sacred Heart Tournament in Hallettsville coming away with a third-place finish with two players making the All Tournament Team.

Wat e r sl ight l y stained; 60 degrees; 0.33 feet above pool. Black bass are good on black Stanley Jigs fished in heavy timber in Willis Creek. Crappie are moving shallow into the backs of ditches and sloughs off the river and up Willis Creek. White bass are good up river around Comanche Bluff.

ROCKDALE BASKETBALL

Some from the Rockdale Tigers basketball team were recently recognized for their athletic abilities and their academics. Named to the Academic All-District team were Brody Willard, Greyson Williams, Alex Cooper, Chase Nadeau and Mason Willard.
