RHS schedules topics for visit, parents’ night

Tiffany Commerford, RHS principal, has some guidelines for students and parents to remember when our scheduling for the 2018-19 school year begins this month: In February Rockdale High School will begin scheduling classes for 2018-2019.

Buckholts ISD decertified

BUCKHOLTS—The Buckholts ISD has been decertified by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), it was announced Friday. The TEA stressed no official decision has been made on whether the school district will close.

WACO—Rockdale High School SkillsUSA students came home with six medals and qualified seven students for state from their first district level competition ever during the weekend at TSTC-Waco.

RJH teacher draws praise for work

Social studies can be a challenge to teach at any level. The ability to make it interesting and meaningful to students is an art that should be recognized. Rockdale Junior High Principal Kelly Blair would like to recognize a teacher on her campus that has this art, and is able to put it into action.

Inspector: Milano ISD has ‘cleanest kitchen’

Last week, we went through an audit with the Texas Department of Agriculture. They were on site conducting an audit of our cafeteria operations and examined all aspects of the school lunch and breakfast programs.

Aviation is taking off

It’s Saturday and what are Rockdale’s youngsters doing to start their weekend. Some are busy with yard work, social activities and, you can be sure, on their smart phones. And some are building an airplane.

MAKING THE GRADE
