Jail log lists all people charged with offenses through the county jail in Cameron. Charges may change during the process. Persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.

Rockdale PD makes two felony arrests during past week

Rockdale Police Officers made two felony arrests during the past week including: • Richard Evan Morgan, 33, Rockdale, was arrested by Ofc. Wall for terroristic threat of law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. • Daniel Esparza, 24, Round Rock, was arrested by Ofc.

FIRE CALLS

Responded to: • Hunters Chase Apartments for a fire alarm but no fire located on Jan. 21 at 6:08 p.m. • 2140 CR 305 for a grass fire on Jan. 23 at 2:25 p.m. • CR 311 at US 79 for a one vehicle rollover on Jan. 26 at 7:52 a.m. • Near the 300 block of North Main for a gas leak on Jan. 27 at 10:59 a.m.

Last week’s Milam County Courthouse Records mistakenly listed Daniel W. Rains new business (assumed name) as “Rains Finishing.” The correct name of the business is Rains Refinishing.

Master Gardner classes Feb. 5th

The Little River Basin Master Gardener Association has extended the registration date for its 2025 training program to Feb. 1. This course contains the curriculum necessary to become a Master Gardener in Milam County. The training will run from Feb. 5 through mid-May on Wedne sday s from 8 a.m.

Master Naturalists classes begin

Texas Master Naturalist Courses begin on Jan. 16, 2025, from 6 to 9 p.m. in Cameron. “If you are passionate about native Texas plants and animals you are welcome to joins us,” said organizer Linda Burgess.
