Man in custody for stealing ambulance

A man is in custody following his theft of an ambulance on Monday morning in Cameron. The Milam County Sheriff’s Office and the Cameron Police Department responded just before 5 a.m. in reference to a stolen ambulance.

Fire Marshal investigating explosions

Did you hear or feel explosions in Rockdale last week? The Milam County Fire Marshal, at the request of Mayor Ward Roddam, has begun an investigation into the recent explosions heard and felt by Rockdale residents on both Wednesday and Friday of last week.

Soup suppers at Peace Lutheran Peace Lutheran Church started their annual Lenten Soup Suppers on Wednesday and will hold them each Wednesday at 6 p.m. The suppers feature several kinds of soup and desserts. Following supper there will be a short service conducted by Pastor Patrick Welton.
