Dear God, I’m doing the best I can

Dear God, I’m doing the best I can

Kyle and Bill Cooke have done this before, so I give myself leave to do it once: share another’s inspiration. I recently read, Prayer is sharing with God exactly how we feel, knowing God will understand. Jesus said that unless we become like children, we will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Perhaps that includes the prayers we pray to God. The following is borrowed from Children’s Letters to God, from Workman Publishing. (Spelling unchanged) Dear God, It rained for are whole vacation and is my father mad! He said some things about you that people are not supposed to say, but I hope you will not hurt him anyway. Your friend, but I am not going to tell you who I am.

Be a faithful servant

Iwas just talking with a pastor friend of mine on the telephone. We grew up together and he lives out of state now, but we chat every so often. He’s hard to like, maybe that’s an occupational hazard but Scripture tells me, “A friend loves at all times (Proverbs 17:17).” So I do. He’s always trying to get us to go on vacation together, that we don’t do.
