Rockdale Police Officers made three felony arrests during the past week including: • Justin Michael Jones, 35, Ohio, was arrested by Ofc. Lentz for possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram). • William Kimball, 58, Rockdale, was arrested by Ofc.

Responded to: • 128 Champions Drive for a grass fire on December 11 at 5:10 p.m. • US 77 at FM 908 for a vehicle accident on Dec. 13 at 7:39 p.m. • 1603 East Cameron Avenue for a vehicle accident on Dec. 13 at 7:43 p.m. • The 600 block of Oaklawn Drive for an outlet on fire on Dec. 14 at 12:06 p.m.

At Saturday night ’s Rockdale Volunteer Department Christmas Party, Cody Pruitt was awarded Fireman of the Year which is voted on by the volunteers. The annual event was held at the fire station after they finished road closures and traffic control for Saturday night’s Christmas parade.
