Robert Miller came by Sunday afternoon for a visit. He brought us our supper. It was good to see him. Gause Methodist Church is having Bible study at 5 p.m. every Sunday. You don’t have to be Methodist to attend. Wayne and I go and we are Baptist and are welcomed by everyone there.

The first of Rockdale’s Community Market went off without a hitch and both vendors and customers had a great day. The market will be at the same location, Cardinal Roofing, 1613 West Cameron Avenue, every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.

Chamber banquet Thursday

The annual Rockdale Chamber of Commerce Banquet will be held next Thursday, April 25, at the New Salem building at Fair Park. Happy hour starts at 6 p.m. and the banquet begins at 6:30 p.m.

Stash Your Trash event on Saturday

The City of Rockdale will hold its Stash Your Trash event on Saturday at Fair Park from 8 a.m. to 12-noon or until the bins are full. This event is for city residents only, who will need a driver’s license and water bill to verify they live in the city limits.
