Granger SLOW. Water lightly stained; 84 degrees; 0.24 feet below pool. Black bass are slow. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows fished in 5-15 feet of water. White bass are good on slab spoons fished over main lake humps and ridges.

LOST BOY AT ROCKDALE POLICE STATION

If anyone knows the parents or guardians of this child, please contact Rockdale PD immediately. 512-446-3436. He was found wondering around on his own in Rockdale and is now at the PD.

Book signing set for July 15 at bookshop

Main Street Bookshop will host a book signing from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 15. Author Theo Boyd will be signing copies of her book My Grief is Not Like Yours, a daughter’s journey after suffering unimaginable loss. Boyd had always been close to her parents.

Speakers announced for Milam/ Burleson groundwater summit

The date for the 2023 Milam and Burleson Counties Groundwater Summit has been set for Aug. 17, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Caldwell Civic Center, 103 TX-21 in Caldwell. The summit is free and open to the public with lunch provided.

NEW BOOTS—The Milam County Sheriff’s Office installed two new deputies on Friday. Above Deputy Darius Ford Sr. began his career in corrections and worked his way up to deputy. Below, Deputy Joe Morrow began his career in Bell County. Both deputies will be assigned to the transport division

O.J. Thomas 58th reunion August 12 The O.J. Thomas Alumni Community Resource Center will hold their 58th annual homecoming on Saturday, August 12 with a tailgate party from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a barbeque lunch at noon. A dance will be held in the cafeteria from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
