Holliman-Tuma Family Reunion set for Sept. 3 The 92nd annual Holliman- Tuma Reunion will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, at Rockdale VFW, 978 W. Cameron. A fully-catered barbecue meal of beef brisket and sausage with all the trimmings will be served at noon for $17 for adults.

Police arrest one on felony warrant

Rockdale Police Officers made one felony arrest during the past week. • Ushika Crawford, 43, Rockdale, was arrested on Friday for terroristic threat of a peace officer.

Rockdale VFD Resounded to: • 3739 FM 1712 for a vehicle fully engulfed in flames on Saturday. • Hunters Chase Apartments for a fire alarm on Saturday. • The 1500 block of East Belton Avenue for a grass fire on Sunday. • Coop’s Tires at 1601 East Cameron Avenue for a vehicle fire on Monday.

MILAM COUNTY JAIL LOG

Jail log lists all people charged with offenses through the county jail in Cameron. Charges may change during the process. Persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. • Mike Anthony Kelly, 55, Hearne, motion to revoke on criminal mischief ($1,500 to $20,000), in custody.

St. Monica’s Homecoming set for Sunday

St. Monica Catholic Church in Cameron will hold their annual Homecoming Festival on Sunday, Aug. 20, starting with a polka mass at 10 a.m. featuring the Jodie Mikula Band. Barbecue beef and sausage plates will be sold for $12. There will also be hamburgers, tamales and barbeque sandwiches.

Milam County 4-H open house set for Saturday

CAMERON—The Milam County Texas A&M Agrilife Extension office is excited to announce they will host an open house for Milam County 4-H. The event will be held at the Milam County Annex, 806 N. Crockett, in Cameron, from 9 a.m. to 12-noon Saturday.

“Elvis” returned to Rockdale Estates and Rehabilitation and got all the residents All Shook Up last week. This annual event is very popular and some residents dress in traditional leis for the occasion.
