FIRST SALE

The Reporter happened to be at the right place at the right time to snap a photo of The Snug’s first sale when they held a soft opening during Thursday’s Sip and Shop event. Owner Cheri Moran (L) made the first sale to grandmother, daughter and granddaughter trio (L-R) Linda Brown, Kerry Silvey and Kate Silvey. The first 24 customers, including these three, also got a free treat of delicious cookies shown on the counter. The Snug will have its grand opening from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday with lots of breakfast items and other goodies to choose from. More Thanksgiving deliciousness

Since the paper is out early this week, here are some more Thanksgiving recipes to try this year. I posted something about Thanksgiving the other day on my social media and I was very surprised at how many people don’t like mashed potatoes or dressing. Something is wrong with them in my humble opinion, but here is a wild rice dish that could be used in place of dressing, I guess. Or just as a side dish. Also a nice thing to make if you have vegetarians around the table.
