Musical weekend in Rockdale

Two musical events were presented last weekend from the jazz music at the Lone Star Jazz Festival to Christmas favorites and Christmas gospel at the Christmas at The Kay annual event.

School board recognized UIL teams on Monday

At Monday’s meeting the RISD School Board recognized the following student groups: • Academic UIL - Elementary/Intermediate and Junior High. • The volleyball team was fourth place in District and advanced to Bi-District.

Four RHS juniors complete first semester at TBI Temple College

The four Rockdale High School junior students pictured above applied to, got accepted by and just finished their first semester at the TBI (Texas Bioscience Institute) Middle College Program offered at the Hutto campus of Temple College. The students leave at 6 a.m.

Merry Christmas from Milano

Four felony arrests made by Rockdale PD

Rockdale Police Officers made four felony arrests during the past week including: • Carlos Dwayne Rubin, 46, Rockdale, two counts assault causing bodily injury family member. • Otilio Ramon Lucio, 40, Dayton, two counts engaging in organized criminal activity.
