EASTER BIBLE SCHOOL

EASTER BIBLE SCHOOL—St. John’s United Methodist Church held an Easter bible school for kids in pre-school through fifth grade. The kids did Easter crafts and there was a storyteller, Michelle Fletcher, each day. They had a pizza party the first night, and on Saturday morning they were treated to breakfast. According to the attendees the songs they learned and the games they played were the best part, and they performed the songs they learned at St. John’s Palm Sunday service. Each child received a t-shirt in memory of Dustin Pickel.

FACE PAINTING—Painting faces was a big attraction at the Easter Egg Hunt and Carnival held on Friday at Fair Park. Photos with both the Easter Bunny and Rocky the Tiger also had long lines.

RHS library makes changes with modern resources

The Rockdale High School Library has made many changes over the last few years as we try to offer useful, exciting and modern resources for our students and staff. We have teamed up with Region 6 Education Services and are working towards a united approach to library rules, services and communication throughout the district with ongoing trainings scheduled through next year.

PRAYER WALK

PRAYER WALK—An Easter prayer walk was held on Friday which ended at Tiger Field. Rev. Royal Johnson of Rising Star Baptist Church led the walk and also finished it with a prayer. He passed the microphone around and anyone who wanted to say a prayer was able to do so.
