PIÑATAS TO PUPPIES—The first annual farmers market at the Chamber of Commerce Rock House was held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There were lots of vendors with canned food, one with piñatas and Easter baskets, and one vendor even had some puppies. Mr. Joe was in his usual spot with his famous tomatoes and tomato plants. Look for even more vendors this Saturday.
Tatiana Olivares, a junior at RHS, teamed up with American Red Cross and the Knights of Columbus last Friday to hold a blood drive in memory of her cousin, Naomi Ruelas.
Ten-year-old Darian “Hump” Jackson is out of the hospital and in rehab and will come home on April 19, according to his mother, Andrias Nunn.
The Rockdale Municipal Development District and the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce announce the launch of the Leadership Rockdale program. The goal of the program is to identify potential leaders in the community who may not be involved or for those who want to get involved in Rockdale’s future but don’t know where to start.
