The city of Rockdale received this asphalt zipper on April 8 which was purchased earlier this year. The zipper made its first appearance on a city street April 13 when it was put to work grinding up the asphalt and part of the base of Ramsey Street.

At my house we love to grill no matter what the weather, but it’s always especially good in the springtime. I’ve even know Dad to grill in the rain. Here’s an easy one for you. I’d use thighs because I like them better. And the hot sauce is totally optional. Leave it out if you don’t like it spicy.

With the potential for severe weather approaching, Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar reminds Texans they can purchase certain items tax-free during the state’s sales tax holiday for emergency preparation supplies, which begins at 12:01 a.m. on April 24, and ends at midnight April 26.
