Milam County commissioners Monday agreed to Sheriff Mike Clore’s application for a grant from the governor’s office to get equipment to help the county’s criminal intervention project. Before the vote at the court’s regular meeting in the courthouse, Clore told members what the grant would fund.

A 33-year-old Rockdale man was arrested on a burglary of a habitation charge at 8 a.m. on Tuesday by officer Jeremiah Harden. The man also had two warrants on him with one from the sheriff’s office for assault and the second for resisting arrest out of Williamson County.
