One-act play set for Nov. 13

MILANO NEWS Milano High School’s One-Act Play class will put on their fall production on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m. The group will perform “The Video Gamapalooza,” a comedy by Don Zolidis. The play will take place in the high school cafetorium.

There were two huge highlights of the 2019 Rock-dale Fair, which ended Saturday at Fair Park. The Fair’s combined sales—to benefit Milam County 4-H and FFA youth—will top $700,000, including a record $430,000-plus livestock action Saturday night. And the park didn’t flood.

—Lowe’s of Hutto employees. working through its “Lowe’s Heroes” volunteer program, presented a new refrigerator and microwave to Rockdale’s MARC Center, along with a table, power washer and scrubber the Heroes used to clean sidewalks, patio area and storage building and tools.

RISD Learning Center honored

Rockdale ISD trustees on Monday, meeting in regular session in the Central Administration Building, congratulated the district’s Tiger Learning Center for receiving formal accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
