10-20-40-100 YEARS AGO 100 YEARS AGO.... Thomas Chandler, 24, of Cameron, who had returned home from serving overseas in the World War a few months previously, died when a binding machine he was repairing at the Cameron Cotton Oil Mill came loose and fell on him.

Athletes to be honored at RJH Rockdale Junior High will honor their student athletes for the 2018-2019 school year with Sports Recognition Day on Wednesday. A ceremony will be held in the junior high gym followed with hot dogs served by the Rockdale Tiger Athletic Booster Club on the practice field.

Track state champ Thurman signs to play basketball

Before becoming a state champion on Saturday at the state track meet, Milano High School senior Christian Thurman signed his letter of intent to continue his basketball career at Brookhaven College near Dallas on Friday in the MHS library in front of friends, family and MISD administrators.
