Tire collection ahead Saturday in Cameron A tire collection is planned from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Precinct 2 Barn, 3106 North Travis in Cameron. The collection event will accept tires with rims, tubes and tire pieces and all tractor tires.

Twenty-six draw grand jury action

Fire calls for the past seven days by South Milam County Volunteer Department, dispatched through the Rock-dale Police Department, were listed as follows: • 10:22 a.m., April 16, fallen cable blocking roadway, 200 block of North Main in Thorn-dale, Thorndale VFD. • 1:50 a.m.

SHERIFF’S REPORT A chase by DPS state troopers involving a motorcycle, which began near Ben Arnold and wound its way to Rockdale, ended in a residential neighborhood Thursday.
