CAMERON—A 25-year-old man from a San Antonio suburb received a 25-year prison sentence last week after he was accused of having sex with a 12-year-old girl he met online. James Dion Furlow, 27, of Selma pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child, according to Prosecutor Bill Torrey.

First early votes cast for May 4th

There’s less than a week of early voting left in Rockdale, and across the area for the May 4 city and school board elections. Through 5 p.m. Tuesday, 50 votes had been cast in the Rockdale elections which feature three city races, a school board contest and a city charter amendment ballot.
