The Martin Luther King Day Parade began in downtown Rockdale on Sunday and went east down US 79, turning right onto San Gabriel which turns into Plum, then down MLK Drive and ending at Sumuel Park. Instead of traveling to Denver, Colorado for a national competition, a team of 4-Hers traveled all the way over to the AgriLife Extension office in Cameron to compete.
Sara Sanders, the Thorndale ISD nurse, told the board at the Jan. 13 meeting that there has been an increase in student cases of COVID-19 in recent days. She also said that the county had asked for a list of staff members that would like to get the vaccine.
