Financially-strapped Milam County will get a $540,000 windfall after the largest cash seizure by law enforcement in county history—more than $830,000—closed with a plea bargain last week.

Juvenile convicted of indecency with child

CAMERON—A juvenile whose place of address was listed only as “Milam County” was convicted of indecency with a child after a four-day jury trial last week . Prosecutor Bill Torrey said the jury returned a verdict of “true” to the charge of indecency with a child by sexual contact.
