Thursday’s South Milam County United Way Radiothon, held at KRXT-FM, has yielded $26,000 in donations and pledges, so far, according to Gaye Bland, SMCUW vice-president.
Here is a trip down memory lane for me. When I was a junior in college I moved out of the dorm and into my first apartment. Mom gave me a recipe box full of easy dishes since I was just learning to cook, and this was the first one I made. They are not authentic by any stretch of the imagination, but they sure are good.
The Coats family, Wanda and Al, Sherri Rasco and Noah, have returned home from Natchez, Mississippi, where they attended the funeral of Paula Coats’ mother, Carolyn Button. They also received word that Wanda Sue’s cousin Patsy Cox’s husband passed away. This was a relative of Cora and O.C. Wallace from Hearne.
