Amy Katherine Sagebiel-Bolin

SEGUIN—Amy Katherine Sagebiel-Bolin passed away peacefully on Dec. 27, 2024, in Seguin with family by her side af ter a two-year battle with cancer.

Amy was born April 30, 1973, in Seguin.

She graduated Sagebiel-Bolin from Rockdale High School in May 1991 and attended Bauder College in Dallas.

She managed Sally Beauty Supply stores for 10 years. Her specialty was rescuing and reviving struggling stores. She was presented various outstanding manager awards by the company.

She was married to husband, Michael Bolin, for 25 years and was the CFO of their company, Technovation Security Control Systems.

She enjoyed gardening around her house on Lake Placid and loved feeding any cat or dog that appeared on their deck.

During the last week of her life, many Rockdale friends traveled to Seguin to visit, share memories, photos, stories of growing up in Rockdale, and to catch up on each other’s lives. These visits were so important to Amy and filled her last days with joy and the love of life-long friends.

Her family also spent her last week with her making family photos, sharing memories and sharing the love we have for each other and Amy.

She is survived by father James Sagebiel and wife Judy of Seguin; mother Janet Whitmire Anderson of Austin; son Dylan Hestand and wife Emily of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; husband Michael Bolin of Seguin; stepson Chandler Bolin of San Diego, California; stepson Chaz Bolin and wife Jessica and children Beckett and Everett of Waxahachie; sister Kerry Sagebiel of Houston; and brother Christopher Sagebiel and wife Elizabeth and children Jameson and Lilirose of Austin.

There will be celebrations of life in Seguin and Rockdale at later dates.
