Ault

Donald Carl Ault, 72, of Rockdale, died on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2020.

He was born Feb. 23, 1948, to Ella (Orcutt) and Carl R. Ault in Yankton County, South Dakota.

After graduating from Alvin High School in 1965, he went to Wharton Junior College.

Mr. Ault enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1968 and served in Vietnam from 1968-1969. He was awarded a Purple Heart when he was wounded in action.

In 1973, he married Rebecca Marie Graf.

Mr. Ault worked for AT&T as a lineman and repairman.

After retiring, he spent his time traveling, fishing and perfecting his pool game.

Mr. Ault was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ella; his wife, Becky; his stepfather, Clyde Stephens; and a sister, Dolly Adlong.

Survivors are two brothers, Robert Fischer and wife Josie of Georgetown, Richard Fischer and wife Margie of Gilmer; two sisters, Irene White and husband Mike, Karla Smith and husband Richard, all of Spring; a stepsister, Charlotte Brown; a stepbrother, Bobby Stephens; and two nieces, Anna Barrera and Linda Fischer, who provided him with care and assistance for the last several years; also, his extended family, including many nieces and nephews.
