Charlotte Kay Backhaus, 65, of Rockdale died Monday, April 9, 2018, at her home in Rock-dale.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rock-dale.
Visitation is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 13, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Backhaus was born Oct. 7, 1952, in Leaksville, Mississippi, to Lawrence Paul and Mary Ellen (Richardson) Bradley.
She attended school in Leaksville.
She moved to Rockdale in 1999 and, on Jan. 28, 2000, she married Randy Backhaus in Rockdale.
Mrs. Backhaus was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Doc and Ellen Bradley; a sister-in-law, Judy Kay Backhaus; a nephew, David Robertson; and two nieces, Holly Anderson and Brandy Bradley.
Survivors are her husband, Randy Backhaus of Rockdale; four daughters, Denise Hammond and husband Daniel of Rockdale, Shannon Kittrell of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, JoAnn Johnson and husband Lance of LaPorte, Morgan Munoz and husband Lorenzo of Temple; two brothers, Steve Bradley and wife Ruby of Leaksville, Mississippi, Paul Bradley and wife Linda; three sisters, Ann Dearman, Paulette Seabrook and husband Jim, all of Stateline, Mississippi, Judy Anderson and husband Danny of Hattisburg, Mississippi; her mother-in-law, Betty Backhaus of Rockdale; eight grandchildren, Ethan Sabo and partner Cody Rackley, Waylon Rogers and wife Mindy, Taylor Hooper, Sarah Johnson, Shanna, Tommy and Joshua Walkingstick and Elianna Munoz; and six great-grandchildren, Serenity Rogers, Luna Vella, Adalyn Heslep, Krystian Walkingstick, James and Sequoyah King.
Pallbearers are Waylon Rogers, Ethan Sabo, Michael Bradley, Kevin Bradley, Daniel Hammond and Jeff Niemann.
