Baggerley

WEBSTER—Rosie Mae Baggerley, 94, died after a short illness on Nov. 10, 2018. For the past four years, she was a resident at True-care Living Center in Palestine.

Viewing and visitation will be Nov. 16, from 10:30 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, in Webster, with chapel services and graveside services to follow.

Mrs. Baggerley was born Sept. 17, 1924, in Rockdale. She was of the “greatest generation” where family came first. She was raised, and married in Rockdale before moving to Pasadena with her husband Thomas to raise their six sons.

Mrs. Baggerley enjoyed baking and cooking meals, gardening, keeping up with her hometown by subscribing to The Rockdale Reporter, weekend trips with her sons to “The Country” in Oakwood, her many trips playing the slot machines in Louisiana, and her daily “bingo hour” at Truecare Living Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie W. and Mary H. Stolte Stork of Rockdale; her husband, Thomas P. Baggerley, on April 28, 1987; a son, James D. Baggerley of Madisonville, on May 7, 2018; her brothers, infant Jimmie W. Stork Jr., Ernest Stork of Texas City (a casualty of “The Great Texas City Explosion of April 16, 1947), Emil “Sonny” Stork of Texas City; her sisters, Lizzy “Nana” Wenzel of Elgin, Thelma Kirchenwitz of Rockdale.

Survivors are a brother, Emmitt “Shula” Stork of Taylor and sons, Thomas E. Baggerley, Alan R. Baggerley and wife Maria of Oakwood, Wayne L. Baggerley, partner Steve Moreau of Houston, the late James D. Baggerley’s wife Laine of Madison-ville, Ronnie E. Baggerley and wife Kim of Pasadena, and Dennis P. Baggerley of Pasadena; 12 grandchildren, Jason, Rachael, Terri, Matthew, Amanda, Robin, Denise, Thomas, Kayla, Michael, Joey, Michelle; 23 great-grandchildren, Rachael, Priscilla, Ashley, Emma, Clay, Lonnie, Mark, CeJohn, Tyler, Drew, Andrew, Ava, Brennan, Aiden, Austin, Taylor, Weston, Kane, Oliver, Destiny, Brianna, Amber, Lindsay and Ryan; a daughter-in-law, Roxie Forehand; and two granddaughters-in-law, Michelle and Amanda Baggerley; also, 17 great-great-grandchildren.
