Relious Anthony (Tony) Baker, died Monday, May 17, 2021, with his wife by his side.

He was born Aug. 4, 1963, in Rockdale to Johnnie Louise Baker. His mother passed at an early age and he was then raised by his grandmother, Bertha Jackson.

Mr. Baker gave his life to Christ at an early age and was a devoted and hard working member of Pecan Street Church of Christ in Rockdale.

He met the love of his life, Lanell Harris Baker, at the swimming pool when they were teenagers and they married and had two sons, Demetrius and Jamaal.

Mr. Baker served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. During his service, he traveled with his family to many different places including Caribou, Maine; Las Vegas, Nevada; Pyeongtaek, South Korea; Tokyo, Japan; and Wichita Falls, before settling in Round Rock. He was a graduate of Rockdale High School and studied business management at Temple College and Southwest Texas State.

Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his mother, Johnnie Louise Baker; his grandmother, Bertha Jackson; and a sister, Mia Denise Baker.

Survivors are his wife of 35 years (August 2021), Lanell Harris Baker; his sons, Demetrius and Jamaal Baker; and his grandson, Taylon Baker, all of Round Rock.

He is also survived by an uncle, Odis Mack and wife Felicia Mack of Cypress; an aunt, Bertha Goodwin of Oklahoma City; brother-in-law Charlie McBride and sister-in-law Melanie McBride, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lawrence and Felecia Wesley, all of Round Rock; his mother and father-in-law, Margaret and Elias Green (Granny and Pops) of Rockdale; and his special girls, Jessica Green and her daughter, Jaci Rae Cato; also, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, coworkers and neighbors.
