Barcak

Chad Michael Barcak, 45, of Caldwell, and a lifelong resi dent of the Rockdale area, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023, in Burleson County.

A funeral mass was held Saturday, April 22, at Mr. Barcak

St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale. Burial was at Liberty Cemetery in Burleson County.

Visitation and rosary were held Friday, April 21, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Chad was born Oct. 8, 1977, to Patricia and Willie Barcak in Rockdale.

He graduated from Rockdale High School, attended ITT Technical Institute in Austin and Nashville, Tennessee, and obtained a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree.

Chad was an electrical engineer for 20 years; he worked seven years for ERCOT in Taylor and LCRA for 15 years.

Chad and Priscilla were married at the Barcak Family home on May 18, 2018.

Chad loved to barbecue and cook. You could often find him volunteering at KC Hall catering events. Chad enjoyed visiting his parents and helping them in the garden and with their chickens and goats. He enjoyed camping, hunting and watching his son Jaxson’s sporting events.

Chad was an avid Longhorn sports fan, and also enjoyed Dallas Cowboys football. You could often find Chad gardening and taking his dog Ruckus on country walks. He enjoyed two-stepping with his wife on their back porch and he loved to listen to country music. Chad enjoyed golf, ping-pong and gathering with family to play their traditional “31” card game. We will never stop loving you, Chad!

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and his nephew, Austyn Barcak.

Surviving family include his wife of five years, Priscilla; son Jaxson Barcak; stepson Dayne Jones; stepson Dylan Jones; stepdaughter Ayana Reed; parents Patricia and Willie Barcak; brother Rodney Barcak and wife Michelle; nieces Madison Reynolds and Cady Barcak; and nephew Brooks Barcak; also, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers were Wade Clark, Monte Moerbe, Tim Schneider, Jeff Pickel, Travis Etzler and Leroy Etzler.
