Bartlett

Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Bartlett, 71, of Rockdale died Thursday, April 9, 2020, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple following an auto accident.

No services are planned at this time.

Mrs. Bartlett was born Nov. 19, 1948, in San Antonio to Harlan Wayne and Martha Halene (Jones) Ontjes.

Before moving to Rockdale, she had lived in Devine.

On Feb. 9, 1985, she married Larry Wayne Bartlett in Rockdale.

Mrs. Bartlett was a member of First Christian Church in Rockdale.

She first worked with United Steelworkers of America Local 4895 for about 20 years. She then worked as an accountant with Texas AFL-CIO for 10 years, from August 2004 until she retired in December 2014.

Mrs. Bartlett was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Martha Ontjes.

Survivors are her husband, Larry Bartlett of Rockdale; her children, Michael Bartlett of San Antonio, Dawn Bartlett of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Philip Bartlett of Rockdale; three grandsons, Quenten Chalmers, Gabriel Chalmers and Jackson Chalmers, all of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and her parents-in-law, Clifford and Betty Bartlett of Rockdale.
