Barton-Lawhon

Kymber Leann Barton-Lawhon, 37, died on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, in Rockdale. She was born on Feb. 5, 1983, to Johnny Dale and Cherie Evone (Basey) Barton in Austin.

Mrs. Barton-Lawhon worked as a CNA.

On April 16, 2019, she married Joseph R. Lawhon.

She had a deep love for her family and was the glue that held them together through good and bad times.

Mrs. Barton-Lawhon was “mom” to everyone, not just her own children, but her nieces, nephews and everyone else. One of her favorite times was “Mimi time” when she got to put her granddaughter to bed.

She loved all animals and would have had a zoo in her home if she could have.

Mrs. Barton-Lawhon was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Dale Barton; a brother, Johnathon Basey; her grandmother, Jeanetta Effie Ellen Basey; and her grandfather, Original “Killjoy” Basey.

Survivors are her husband, Joseph R. Lawhon of Rockdale; her children, Sierra Moreno, Alyssa Roman and Tizok Roman, all of Rockdale; her mother, Cherie Venaglid and husband Richard of Austin; two sisters, Tessa Bulter and husband Daryl of Austin, Charie Limbaugh and husband John Ruiz of Bastrop; two brothers, Jason Barton of Rockdale, Toby Barton of Hondo; her mother-in-law, Teresa Lawhon of Rockdale; and a granddaughter, Gracelyn Effie Rose Moreno.
