Beard

Linda Sue Cooper Beard passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, after a short battle with metastatic lung cancer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Joe and Arvilla Cooper; a brother, Joe Cooper; and a sister, Shirley Davenport.

Survivors are her husband of 35 years, John Beard; a brother, Brad Cooper; a son, Matthew Beard; a daughter, Kaeley Darby; and a son-in-law, Benjamin Darby; also, two stepchildren, seven grandchildren, three fat horses, one guard donkey, two old dogs, four spoiled grand-dogs, and a large enough herd of barn cats that she probably qualified as a crazy cat lady.

Per her wishes, a traditional funeral will not be held. Instead, the family will organize a celebration of life trail ride to be held in the spring. Event details will be shared via Facebook.
