Beason

Shirley Ruth Beason, 73, of Rockdale died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, in the comfort of her home.

Her body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Beason was born May 10, 1948, in Temple to Floyd Brockenbush Sr. and Helen Wolfe Brockenbush Wenzel.

She married Curtis Henry Beason on Sept. 10, 1966, in Rockdale.

Mrs. Beason was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Todd Alan Beason; and a great-grandson, Travis Reed Parker.

Survivors are her children, Tammy Harris and Stan Caffey of Rockdale, Cary and Michelle Beason of The Woodlands; her siblings, Floyd Jr. and Kathleen Brockenbush of Rockdale, Patricia Brockenbush of Dallas; and her grandchildren, Laura and Ryan Sharp of Troy, Lisa and Jonathan Crain of Elma, Iowa, Christopher Beason of Del Valle, Nicholas Beason of Hutto; also, four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
