Biehle

Services for Gloria June Sanders Biehle, 78, of Longview, formerly of Rock dale, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home with Troy Bayne officiating. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Visitation is set for 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Biehle died Saturday, Dec. 26, at a Longview nursing home.

She was born Sept. 11, 1942, in San Angelo to Virgil and Mary Eunice Sanders.

She was a graduate of Lake view High School.

On April 20, 1961, she married Robert Ray Biehle in San Angelo.

They moved from San Angelo to Rockdale in 1966.

Together, they were cattle ranchers, broke and trained horses, and raised a host of other livestock. Mrs. Biehle was a longtime

Mrs. Biehle was a longtime member of Rockdale Fair Association, leader in the 4-H Club, and taught riding lessons.

She worked for the office of David Pendleton and then opened an oil painting studio in the late 1980s. She taught painting up until she moved into an assisted living facility in Longview in 2017.

Mrs. Biehle was a member of First Baptist Church of Rockdale.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ray Biehle; two sisters, Mary Virginia Sanders and Linda Rainey; a grandson, Scott Baker; a son-in-law, Glen Rummel; and her parents, Virgil and Mary Eunice Sanders.

Survivors are her daughters, Denise Rummel of Gatesville, Petrice Rummel and husband Ronald of Longview, Janese Poe and husband Roy of Houston; a brother, Billy Sanders; a sister, Kathy Hunt; two brothers-in-law, Gary Rainey, Kenneth Biehle and wife Darlene of Thorndale; three sisters-in-law, Mary Towery and husband Glenn of Thorndale, Brenda Johnston and husband Thomas of Tyler, Linda Biehle of Thorndale; and her grandchildren, Ryan, Kurt, Chelsey, Emilee, Alyssa, Brittany and Cody; also, seven great-grandchildren.
