Blackmon

Graveside services for Robert Lee Blackmon, 50, of Rockdale were held Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021, at IOOF Cemetery in Rockdale with Gary Westbrook officiating.

Mr. Blackmon died Friday, Aug. 20, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

He was born Feb. 5, 1971, in Rockdale to James and Carole (Conrad) Blackmon.

Mr. Blackmon spent most of his life in Milano and moved to Rockdale in 2018.

He was a graduate of Milano High School.

He was self-employed and he enjoyed spending time with his son, painting landscape scenes and listening to music.

Mr. Blackmon was preceded in death by his mother, Carole Blackmon; a brother, J.D. Blackmon; and a sister, Bonnie Blackmon.

Survivors are his son, Robert Lee “Junior” Blackmon Jr. of Rockdale; his father, James Blackmon of Milano; a brother, Jeff Blackmon of Rockdale; five sisters, Lisa Coldiron and husband Rodney, Glenda Westbrook and husband Gary, all of Milano, Laura Wilson and husband Terry, Maria Magee and husband Leslie, all of Rockdale, April Langford and husband Larry of Grapeland; a sister-in-law, Terry Blackmon of Rockdale.
