Blattner

Dudley Earl Blattner, 71, of Rockdale, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023, in his home in Rockdale.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at Milam County Cowboy Church.

A visitation will be held at the church starting at 10:30 a.m. until service time.

Dudley was born on June 1, 1952, to Ralph and Alice (Hill) Blattner in Austin.

He graduated from Round Rock High School in 1970.

On Aug. 6, 1970, he married Louise Roberts.

He was a successful commercial and industrial painter for most of his life.

Dudley was involved with the restoration of the Texas State Capital, DKR Memorial Stadium and Circuit of the Americas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Alice Blattner; a daughter, Amy Blattner; and a brother, John Blattner.

Survivors are his loving wife, Louise Blattner of Rockdale; a daughter, Lynette Blattner of Hutto; a son, Patrick Blattner and Chad Goshe of Columbus, Ohio; his grandchildren, Cassidy Smith, Zakery Billarrial, Caleb Billarrial, Paige Ward and Cheyanne Blattner; two great-grandchildren, with the third soon to be born; and his siblings, Anita Roberts, Phyllis Hollenbeck, Janet Thornton and James Blattner; also, many nieces and nephews.
