Dorothy Sue Greenwood Brannon, 82, died Wednesday, April 3, 2019, in Rock-dale.

A memorial service will be held at Forest Grove Christian Church, 8092 US 77, Rockdale, at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4, with lunch to follow. Burial will follow at the Keen Family Cemetery off US Hwy 77 on County RD 313.

Mrs. Brannon was born March 10, 1937, in Rock-dale to Wallace and Ella Inez Greenwood.

She grew up in Rockdale and graduated from Rock-dale High School.

She married her husband of 54 years, John Edward Brannon, who preceded her in death in 2010.

They moved to Houston, where they stayed, pursued careers and raised their children.

They retired and moved back to Milano in 2009.

Mrs. Brannon was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Betty Brown; and a brother Keen Greenwood.

Survivors include a son, Barry Brannon and wife Janine Brannon of College Station; two daughters, Margie Brannon Addison of Rockdale, Nena Brannon Wilkinson and husband Scott Wilkinson of Seguin; and her special friend, John Magee of Rockdale; also, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
