Carla Michelle Closs (Miller), 49, of San Antonio, died unexpectedly on Oct. 19, 2021.

She was born to Carl and Carol Miller (Chambers) on July 11, 1972, in Houston.

She grew up in Calvert and Hearne and was the middle sibling of six children.

She had five children that she loved dearly.

Carla was a beautiful woman with a huge heart. She had many friends and family that loved her. She was a social butterfly and could make friends anywhere she went. She loved the beach and had a free spirit.

She loved to fish and search for treasures that she turned into pieces of art. Photography was her hobby. She loved music, especially oldies, classic rock and techno.

She had a green thumb and caring for plants was her therapy. Carla was a great storyteller and loved to make people laugh. She always lived life to the fullest and had an old soul.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Alta and John Chambers, Elizabeth and Clyde Miller, and Aunt Beverly and Uncle Eddie Paris.

Surviving are her children, Stephanie Muston (Anthony), Steven Closs, Virginia Closs, Christie Coan (Richard), and Victoria Closs; siblings Sonny Miller (Teresa), John Miller (Debbie), Dawn Barker, Robert Miller (Elizabeth), and Judy Comfort (Edward); grandchildren Jack, Skylar, Eli, Shaylee, Charlie, Zoey, Beaux, Rylee, Marlynn and Coral; many nieces and nephews, and many friends and family.

A memorial service will be held later to respect her wishes to be spread into the ocean.
