Cruz

Andrew “Andy” Cruz Jr. died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021, at Woodlands Methodist Hospital.

Memorial services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at Apostolic Faith Church in Rockdale with Pastor Barry Methvin officiating.

Mr. Cruz was born on Sept. 30, 1972, to Andrew Cruz Sr. and Mary (Moreno) Vasquez.

He was a Rockdale High School graduate and was employed with Mine Services for many years, moving around with the company.

He married Nancy Davis on July 25, 2010, in Rockdale. They moved to Conroe, where they had been living when he became ill.

Mr. Cruz enjoyed fishing, going to garage sales, just having fun all around, and working. He was very dedicated to his job and marriage.

Mr. Cruz was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Cruz Sr.; his grandparents, Alvira Cruz, Martina and Jesse Moreno; and an aunt, Delores Johnson.

Survivors are his wife, Nancy Cruz of Conroe; three children, Alex Cruz and Cory Cruz of Deanville and daughter Cora Cruz of Rockdale; his mother, Mary Vasquez of Rockdale; and two brothers, John Aldama of Rockdale, Joe Moreno of Houston.
