GAUSE—Margaret Louise Currin, 85, of Little River/Academy died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021, in a Temple hospital.

Graveside funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Gause City Cemetery.

Ms. Currin was born in Gause on Nov. 24, 1935, to Seth Graydon and Velma D. (Hafley) Gaston.

She had many professions over the years, such as homemaker, realtor, army surplus dealer and others, but her favorite job was mom and grandma.

Survivors are five daughters, Karen Ann Knabe, Linda Jean Cox and husband Carl, Connie Beth Currin and Sherry Dawn Currin, all of Bryan, Shirley Diane Whiteley and husband Clifford of Academy; two brothers, Robert Gaston of Leander, Jack Gaston of Burnett; and a sister, Lillian Linton of Somerville; also, seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
