Donnie Belle Reese Dugger, 81, of Milano passed away Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan.

A graveside ser v ice was held Monday, Aug. 28, at Liberty Cemetery near Milano with Pastor Gary Westbrook officiating.

Mrs. Dugger was born Jan. 19, 1942, to Harvin Donaldson Fisher Reese and Mattie Belle (Miller) Reese in Milano.

She graduated from Milano High School in 1960.

She then moved to Wilmer, where she met the love of her life, Jerry Lynn Dugger. The two were married on May 29, 1965. They were together for 44 years until his death on July 24, 2009.

Mrs. Dugger worked as a secretary at BH&W Furniture until she retired.

She was a member of the Milano Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Dugger; her parents, Harvin and Mattie Reese; and two sisters, Betty Reese Hardcastle, Peggy Reese Dees and husband William.

Survivors are her brother, Billy Reese and wife Diana of Milano; three sisters, Jane Yoakum and husband Travis of Milano, Pattie Reese Cooper of Angleton, Barbara Reese Stewart and husband Gary of Milano.

Pallbearers were her nephews and honorary pallbearers were her nieces.
